For a world where women always have a voice and a seat at the table
The House of Circe Foundation is a non-profit organisation with a deep-rooted social mission: to ensure the presence and representation of women in all arenas of society - social, economic, cultural and political.
To achieve this goal, we are building the Siren Sanctuary, a unique therapeutic restorative sanctuary for women, set in nature in the Spanish countryside. This centre offers temporary respite and regeneration for women facing psychosocial overload due to burnout, illness, grief, trauma, intimate terror and PTSD. The foundation raises funds and donations to not only make the creation of the sanctuary possible, but also to ensure its continued existence, so that every woman - regardless of her financial situation - has access to the care she needs
Our Mission
Have you ever stopped to consider what it costs—really costs—when women and girls vanish from society’s stage, not by choice, but because of violence, abuse, oppression, trauma, or unrelenting adversity?
Have you ever felt how fast life can break?
A car crash. A cancer diagnosis. A funeral you never imagined attending. One moment you’re living your life—and the next, the floor disappears beneath you.
Do you know what it’s like to fear for your life—because your family decided your existence is an offense to their honor?
Have you seen the silent war that follows domestic violence—not just surviving it, but surviving what comes after?
Can you begin to grasp the unbearable heartbreak of a mother who discovers the person she trusted most has abused her child—only to realize she’s reliving her own worst nightmare?
Do you know how it feels when life hits you so hard that you can’t find the ground again—when one event triggers another, and you fall into a spiral you can’t climb out of?
Here’s what we know: women don’t need saving. They need space. They need sanctuary. They need somewhere to remember who they are.
Again and again, we've heard it:
"I just want somewhere to go. To breathe. To heal. To stop pretending I’m fine. To come back to myself."
A place where silence and nature heals, and community strengthens. Where the broken parts are held with grace. Where women rise—not just survive.
Does such a place exist?
A therapeutic refuge. A sacred farm. A circle of safety.
A place where women rebuild. Recharge. Return to the world with fire in their eyes and their voices unshakable.
Not yet.
But it can. And it must. And it will.
If we build it, they will come.
The Siren Sanctuary
The Siren Sanctuary will be a safe and restorative haven for women who need to take a breather before returning to their crucial roles in society. Located amidst the pristine nature of the Spanish countryside, this place offers space for enduring recovery, deep reflection and renewed strength.
A place where pain can be transformed to power.
Here, women who have had much to contend with will be provided with the conditions needed to recover physically, emotionally and mentally, so that they can return to their roles as mothers, sisters, leaders, caretakers and cornerstones of society with renewed resilience. A healthy society starts with healthy, empowered women.

House of Circe Foundation is currently in the process of applying to be recognized by the tax authorities as a Public Benefit Organization. This means that with this status, gifts and donations will be tax deductible.

The Siren Sanctuary is committed to the right to recovery and personal fulfilment, for every woman regardless of her financial situation. We believe that a world where women flourish is a world where everyone flourishes. This is not a luxury, but a necessity. We are raising initial funds (Go Fund Me) to cover start-up costs and serve as part of the deposit and first round of funding, necessary to purchase property and build the sanctuary: A place where holistic therapies, tranquillity, nature and community come together for the replenishment of women.
We need a whole lot more but this is a start!
